Rainbow Mountain Private Tour Full-Day Itinerary: Step-by-Step Experience
Day 1: Private Adventure to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
Early Pickup & Transfer to Cusipata
- Pickup between 3:30 and 3:40 a.m. from your hotel in Cusco
- Approximately 2-hour drive to Cusipata
- Breakfast stop (30 minutes)
Transfer to Fulawasipata & Start of the Hike
- Continue by transport to the trailhead
- Brief safety and route explanation by your guide
- Approx. 1-hour uphill hike to the viewpoint
- Opportunity to see alpacas and llamas along the way
Arrival at Rainbow Mountain
- Time to enjoy the views and take photos
- Optional 30-minute hike to the Red Valley (extra fee required)
Descent & Lunch
- Approx. 1-hour descent back to the starting point
- Return to Cusipata for lunch (1 hour)
Return to Cusco
- Drive back after lunch
- Arrival in Cusco around 3:00 – 3:30 p.m.
